However, the human resource team of the hospitality industry has been facing some challenges in order to execute the business in an efficient manner. Nowadays, most of the hotel organizations have been focusing on the strategic planning and development for reducing the issues out of business. Without implementing the strategic approaches, the human resource management would not be able to improve the business in an effectual manner (Hoque, 2013). Most of the hospitality organizations have been facing difficulties in retaining the growth of the business due to the high employee turnover challenges. By implementing different strategic approach including technology development, new talent hunts, demographic changes and a rising sense of the insecurity (Riley, 2014). On the other hand, the data-driven HR practices have been incre asingly popular, as it provides the adequate opportunities to the management to access all information regarding the business. In this context, the role of human resource management has been discussed in context to the hospitality industry. Moreover, the critical analyses of the strategic human resource management have been investigated relating to the hospitality industry. Besides this, the role of human resource management for achieving the goals and objectives of the organization has been analyzed in an effectual manner. By analyzing the basic criteria of the managers for the hospitality industry, it can be evaluated that the key professionals must have the adequate knowledge at managing the diverse functions of the business. Due to the rising labor costs, most of the small and medium organizations have been facing in retaining the employees for a long period. On the contrary, it can be assessed that the multinational organizations also face challenges in reducing the employee turnover issues in an efficient manner. Most of the time, the demands of the employees are often neglected by the upper management. Consequently, it creates negative impacts on employees mind and it makes them demoralized for delivering the enhanced performance in the business (T ang Tang, 2012). Aside from the labor cost, the demand for the quality staffs has been an important part of the business. Without engaging the experienced and productive employees, the human resource management would not be able to achieve the goals and objectives of the organization. The role and responsibility of the human resource management are largely dependent on three factors including organizational structure, employee diversity and the complexity. For achieving the goals and objectives of the business, the human resource management team needs to analyze the organizational structure. For example, if an organization of the hospitality industry follows the hierarchy structure, then the HRM team needs to maintain the work culture through a particular system. Without identifying the organizational structure, the management would not be able to uphold the growth of the business in an efficient manner. On the other hand, the diversity of employees is also needed to maintain the flow of the business. In the recent years, most of the organizations have been trying to engage the highly talented employee so that the workflow of the business can be maintained in an appropriate manner. According to Jiang et al (2012), highly talented employees are employed in advanced management areas including finance, marketing, revenue management, production, etc. Subsequently, the hospitality managers must focus on recruiting these employees in order to enhance the business opportunities. For achieving the goals and objectives of the business, the organization needs to focus on the developing an effective human resource management team. Without forming an effectual human resource management team, the organization would not be able to identify the key development areas of the business (Brotherton, 2012). Besides this, the online booking system also facilitates the clients to conduct hassle free transaction. On the other hand, the social media plays an important role in promoting the business across the international platform. In the recent years, most of the small and medium enterprises have been focusing on the social media promotion, as it allows them to spread the product and service information across the global platform without spending huge financial resources. For achieving the goals and objectives of the business, the organization needs to execute the work in a systematic process (Alfes et al., 2013). There are different media vehicles including FaceBook, Twitter, and Google Plus facilitating the organizations in sharing the product and service information in an efficient manner. Nickson (2013) has argued that the rising sense of security needs to be maintained in the business. Due to the insecure system, customers often face challenges in selecting the right organization. By discussing the roles of the human resource management in the hospitality industry, it can be identified that the HRM team must provide the data protection to the customers. In some cases, it has been seen that companies utilizes their customers information for other purposes apart from the business. On the other hand, the demographic changes have made huge impacts on the particular industry. The population-change has the mounting impact on different employment and human resource practices. With the involvement of the diverse generation, the management would be able to enhance the work execution process in an efficient manner. On the other hand, the div erse workforce always facilitates the organization in enhancing the productivity of the business within the short timeframe. With the involvement of the ERP software, most of the human resource team easily accesses the data. The particular policy facilitates the organization in enhancing the loyalty of the customer in an effectual manner. Besides the health and safety policy, the human resource management of the hospitality industry needs to focus on the compensation program. Due to the lack of the compensation process, most of the employees in the organization become de-motivated. Consequently, it would advers ely affect the industry in growing within the targeted timeframe. Hoque (2013) has highlighted the fact that the hospitality industry has been facing mounting challenges due to the employee turnover issue. In most of the cases, the employee turnover has affected the organizational growth. Hence, it can be assessed that the human resource team needs to motivate the employees for retaining them for a long timeframe. For conducting the particular task in an effectual manner, the HRM team needs to focus on the performance management and the appraisal management. Without including the performance management process, the human resource management would not be able to influence the employee in enhancing the individual productivity (Mok, Sparks Kadampully, 2013). In the recent years, the human resource management of the hospitality industry has been facing several challenges including the turnover, recruitment, training, morale, and shrinkage. Due to the high turnover, most of the organization has been facing difficulties in retaining the business growth in an efficient manner. On the other hand, the recruitment process of the business often creates a challenging situation for the human resource team. Most of the organizations under hospitality industry have a goal of being one of the market leaders within the small timeframe.
